Trevor Plett Appointed to the BC Trucking Association Board of Directors
We are proud to announce that our COO, Trevor Plett, has been appointed to the BC Trucking Association (BCTA) Board of Directors for the 2026–27 term.
As a second-generation leader of R.R. Plett Trucking, Trevor has played a key role in advancing our company's commitment to operational excellence, safety, innovation, and sustainability. His leadership has helped position R.R. Plett Trucking at the forefront of the transportation industry, particularly through our investment in eight Volvo VNR Electric trucks operating within our Vancouver drayage fleet.
Trevor has also become a recognized voice in the sustainable transportation sector. Over the past year, he has been invited to speak at several industry events, including the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) / Plug-in BC Conference and the CITT Annual Conference in Calgary, where he shared R.R. Plett Trucking's experience deploying electric trucks in real-world drayage operations. His presentations highlighted the opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned from transitioning to zero-emission transportation while maintaining operational excellence.
Trevor's appointment to the BCTA Board reflects not only his dedication to the industry but also R.R. Plett Trucking's ongoing commitment to supporting a strong, innovative, and sustainable future for trucking in British Columbia.

Sustainability continues to be a major focus at R.R. Plett Trucking as we work toward building a cleaner and more efficient transportation network.
As one of the early adopters of battery-electric trucking technology in British Columbia, R.R. Plett Trucking has invested in eight Volvo VNR Electric trucks and supporting charging infrastructure to help reduce emissions within the Port of Vancouver drayage sector.
The recent launch of the ELECTRA Battery Electric Container Trucking Program at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority marks an important milestone for the future of drayage transportation in British Columbia. Programs such as ELECTRA demonstrate the industry's commitment to reducing emissions and accelerating the transition toward zero-emission transportation.
