Over the past several years, our company has made major investments in electric transportation technology as we continue transitioning toward a cleaner, more sustainable fleet operation. Today, we are proud to operate 8 electric Volvo trucks supporting our local Vancouver drayage operations, helping reduce emissions while continuing to deliver reliable service to our customers.

Our vision for the future is ambitious but clear. By 2030, R.R. Plett Trucking aims to operate a fully electric local Vancouver drayage fleet.

This journey is only the beginning.

As we continue exploring the future of sustainable transportation, we are also evaluating the future integration of Tesla Semi trucks into our long-haul fleet operations as part of our next major step toward reducing emissions across Western Canada.

On May 21, our team proudly participated in the 2nd Annual Women in Logistics Event at the Cascade Casino Deas Ballroom. Supporting diversity, inclusion, and leadership opportunities within supply chain and transportation remains extremely important to our organization.

We also look forward to attending the ICBA Meet the Generals event on May 22 at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, connecting with key decision-makers and leaders within the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Continuing our commitment to professional development and industry collaboration, our team will also participate in the CITT Vancouver Networking Event on May 29.

National Conference Participation

R.R. Plett Trucking is also proud to participate in several national conferences this year.

From June 3–5, our team will attend the CITT Annual Conference in Calgary, Alberta, engaging with logistics professionals and transportation leaders from across Canada to discuss industry trends, innovation, sustainability, and future opportunities.

In addition, we are proud members of the Canadian Meat Council and look forward to participating in the Canadian Meat Council 2026 Annual Conference in Ottawa, Ontario. This important event brings together industry leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges impacting Canada’s meat and cold chain industries.

R.R. Plett Trucking is proud to officially announce our partnership as the Official Transportation Partner of the Vancouver Bandits Basketball Club.

This partnership represents far more than transportation and logistics — it reflects a shared commitment to community engagement, youth development, and growing the game of basketball across British Columbia.

Through this partnership, R.R. Plett Trucking will help support the transportation of equipment, event infrastructure, and community activations while assisting the Bandits in bringing basketball experiences to communities throughout the province.

We recently had the opportunity to support the incredible Guildford Town Centre 3x3 Clutch Tournament, which welcomed nearly 250 young athletes in what became one of British Columbia’s first large-scale indoor 3x3 basketball events. Seeing young athletes, families, and communities come together through sport was truly inspiring.

The momentum continues with the upcoming Kelowna HOOPFEST on June 6 at Prospera Place, bringing professional basketball, youth programming, and community engagement to the Okanagan region.

At R.R. Plett Trucking, we strongly believe in investing in youth, supporting healthy communities, and creating opportunities through sport and community involvement.
